         Two CE Opportunities brought to Minneapolis!

   Jane Pearlmutter, UW-Madison School of Library and Information Studies 
is teaching Virtual Collection Development a four-hour class offering 4 MLA 
CE Credits.  Openings remain in this course -- an opportunity to learn 
selection and evaluation of electronic resources, including what policies 
should be in place.  In this course you examine some of the options for 
organizing and delivering electronic journals, databases, and Internet 
resources.  This workshop will include lecture, demonstration and examples 
of selection aids and criteria, case studies on budgeting and cataloging of 
electronic resources, and discussion of the policy issues involved.

   This course is offered on Saturday September 28th, 2002 from 8 am - Noon 
at the Radisson Metrodome Hotel.  Cost:  $85.00 (95.00) nonmember.

   Jane Dysart & Stephen Abram are teaching Re-Creating Your Services with 
New Technologies, an eight-hour class offering 8 MLA CE Credits.  Openings 
remain in this course -- an opportunity to participate in a lively 
interactive class where you are challenged to view your own library 
services and technology use in terms of meeting your clients' current and 
emerging needs.  Learn how to identify what services and technology 
products will have the greatest impace on services.

   This course is offered on Saturday September 28th, 2002 from 8 am to 5 
pm at the Radisson Metrodome Hotel.  Cost:   $160.00 ($180 nonmember).
