In case you happen not to be subscribed to asis-l... I also want to
recommend attendance at this workshop. I 've been to at least one. It
was well-done and very interesting.

>Being Involved With ASIST & Staying Sane: Advice From the Deeply Committed
>
>Hear from two ASIST members who, despite their youthful appearances, have
>together probably held almost every office there is (except for Treasurer
>or Executive Director - some things are too much to ask.) Candy Schwartz
>and Ellen Sleeter will discuss why they did it, how they managed, and what
>they gained personally and professionally from their ASIST experiences.
>They will outline ways to stay involved without burning out, provide
>encouragement for those embarking on an ASIST career, share stories and
>survival tips, and show attendees how being an ASIST leader can be
>rewarding and fun.

>This is good for both new and "old" ASIS&T members -- often times we become
>so overwhelmed with all the opportunities that come to us through our
>ASIS&T affiliation that we experience a sense of loss or inability to "do
>it all." Please plan on attending this valuable session and listen to some
>lessons learned and strategies for professional survival -- I guarantee it
>will be worth your while.
>
>Please share with others who you know are not on the ASIS-L e-mail
>distribution list and who plan on attending this year's Annual Meeting.
