Please excuse my long silence, but a number of things seemed to pile up
right after our re-organizational meeting on May 24th.
Looking for my notes we have 15 people in attendance, including some
students from Lindas class. We went around and brain stormed some ideas
for possible meetings topics, and, if I read my note correctly (don't ask
about my handwriting) some of the ideas included:

After some discussion we decided to work on three programs.
1) Linda Cooper & myself are going to organize a networking/social event
for the chapter in early Fall. Food and drink (soft & wine) compliments
of the chapter. Perhaps some entertainment. Suggestions for interesting
venues appreciated.
Jonathan (I believe, again my handwriting) will be looking into organizing
a program dealing with IA
Im seeking to organize a program on LIS education and am awaiting a
response from Michael Gorman as to whether he is available to speak on the
topic. If he can, we will pretty much have to go with whatever date he is
available, though Ive asked for a Friday afternoon, since I figure this
would be a half day event.
If you have any ideas for programs that you would like to work on, or want
to help out with the social or LIS education event please let me know.
We will also need to elect officers. Volunteers are welcome, so let me know
if you would like to serve as president, secretary, treasurer,
communications officer, etc.
Again, my apologies for the delay in getting this out to you, and looking
forward to some great meetings this year!
