Happy Holiday Party Day!


If you're attending, just a reminder we're collecting donations for a Los
Angeles-based charity, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless)
<http://www.epath.org/>.  Donations such as clothing (new/gently used),
food (non-perishable) and other items (hygiene products, home items, pet
supplies and gift cards), will be accepted at the event and delivered to

Also, remember you get FREE entry to the Skirball exhibits today!  Arrive
any time before 4:30pm, and simply mention you're there for the LACASIS&T/SLA
event, and explore the museum *gratis*, including the current exhibit *Light
and Noir:* *Exiles and Émigrés in Hollywood, 1933–1950,* which influenced
such beloved movies as *Sunset Boulevard*, *Double Indemnity*, *Casablanca*,
and *Ninotchka*  (http://www.skirball.org/exhibitions/light-noir). You'll
entertain yourself from when the museum closes at 5pm til when the event
starts at 6:30pm, but there's free wifi, seating and lighting. (And plenty
to do if you want to help set up!)
