Overview
Financial market has been constantly evolving adapting to the overall
economy development. While abundant innovation in financial products and
practices has been occurring in the markets like stocks and derivatives,
there demands a new type of financial market for technology access and
financing to cope with the need for the low carbon and sustainable economy
development, a world wide trend.

This would cause the financial market to become even more sophisticated.
With more and more sophisticated and innovative financial product
development and the rapid growth of complex data volume in financial
market and firms, financial risks and market regulation become a key issue
for government regulatory bodies. This has urgently called for
technologies assistance and development with advanced capabilities such as
effective and efficient market monitoring and regulation to help deal with
potential risks and identify new opportunities.

This book on Financial Technologies for Sustainable Economic Development
would call for contributions in the areas of low carbon information
processing for sustainability towards developing financing technologies
enabling emerging low carbon business and technology development.
