The 2005 High Level International Colloquium on Information 
Literacy occurred from November 6-9 in Alexandria, Egypt.  NFIL, 
UNESCO, and the International Federation of Library and Information 
Associations and Institutions sponsored this historic event.  You 
can read the News Release describing the Colloquium along with the 
Alexandria Proclamation (in several languages) that resulted at:
