[Eurchap] cfp 2nd European NKOS Workshop August 21 at ECDL03 in Trondheim

The 2nd European NKOS Workshop will be held in connection with the European
Conference on Digital Libraries on 21st August, at ECDL 2003 in Trondheim.

The Workshop will be based around the theme of
Emerging Standards in Networked Knowledge Organization Systems and Services.

Proposals are invited for presentations (20 minutes) on work or projects
related to the themes of the workshop.
Presentations from the Workshop may be selected for consideration in a
forthcoming JoDI special issue on NKOS themes. Please E-mail proposals
(500 words) by July 1st to Doug Tudhope.

Emerging standards are a focus for the workshop. It is hoped to provide
an opportunity for communication and coordination between various
European and US standards initiatives and major international projects.
The aim is to build on the work of the recent NKOS Workshop in Houston.
Another objective is to bring together related communities, such as
Library and Information Science, Ontologies and the Semantic
Web, XML-RDF technologies, Topic Maps, Language Engineering.
