Hi Everyone,

I compiled all the chapter happenings this quarter for the ASIST Board.  Chapters are doing great things, but many announcements are still hidden on your local websites.  This email is to remind you to send chapter programs, events, awards, etc. to ASIST-L and Jan Hatzakos, jan at asis.org<mailto:jan at asis.org>, so she can post to the ASIST Chapters web page.  Here are all the great things chapters did this quarter!   In addition, please think about submitting these cool events, activities, and the people that make them great for a chapter award (publication, member, event, innovation).  Go to http://www.asis.org/awards.html, and submit before August 15th!  It is quick, easy, and fun :)


*         COASIST presented "Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn & Relevance of Social Media for Libraries<http://www.asis.org/Chapters/coasis/2010/04/13/twitter-facebook-linkedin-relevance-of-social-media-for-libraries/>" on April 13, 2010.

*         COASIST launched a new website in June 2010.

*         COASIST presented "Demonstrating Value To Shareholders" on August 3, 2010

*         LACASIST held its Spring Workshop: "Size Matters: Engaging Users Where They're @" on May 21, 2010.

*         LACASIST sought applicants for its McKinley Scholarship.

*         NEASIST announced its student travel award winner, Danielle M. Cossarini.

*         NEASIST hosted its annual "TED Talk"s on May 11, 2010.

*         NEASIST held its annual awards dinner on May 17th, and announced its Member of the Year (Nicole Hennig) and Student Member of the Year (Luke Gaudreau).

*         NOASIST will host a tour and program at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum Library and Archives on November 1, 2010.

*         PNWASIST held an IA/UX meet-up on July 14, 2010.
