The Indiana ASIS&T Chapter of the American Society for Information Science & Technology and IU School of Library & Information Science, Indianapolis invite you to a free, pre-evening class presentation and discussion, 4:30-5:30 pm, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 1126 University Library, IUPUI, Indianapolis, IN.

Pascal Calarco, Head, Library Systems and 2008-2009 I-ASIS&T Chair, will present on:
 
"Social networking and libraries: Using Facebook and LinkedIn for networking, professional involvement, and getting your name out there!"

Facebook has become an exciting new platform for libraries and librarians to communicate with the communities they serve.  LinkedIn is a related business platform for professionals to network, find out about opportunities, and make connections with employers.  Come join us for a fun whirlwind tour of how our profession is leveraging these and other tools to innovate, communicate, and advance your career!
