Dear ASIST Chapter Officers,

I encourage all of you to attend the Chapter Assembly meeting on October 19,
from 9-10:30 a.m.  If your chapter assembly representative cannot attend, I
hope you will send an alternate to represent your chapter.

I¹ve listed below some selected dates and events at the ASIST Annual Meeting
that you as chapter officers will be interested in noting and attending.

September 5 - ASIST Annual Meeting Early Registration Deadline

October 19-22 ­ ASIST Annual Meeting

October 19 - 9:00 a.m.  - Chapter Assembly Meeting
    - please attend!  This is your chance to meet other chapter officers and
to share information in addition to conducting formal Chapter Assembly
business.  I am working on an agenda and will send it out before the Chapter
Assembly Meeting.

October 19 - 11:30 a.m. - New Member/First Conference Orientation
    - if this is your first time attending an ASIST Annual Meeting, you will
find this session helpful

October 19 - 3:30 p.m.  - Leadership Development Program, "Show Me the
Money" 
    - As Chapter officers, you will find this session helpful to develop
financial support and sponsors for your chapter events - more info at

October 19 - 6:00 p.m.  - Welcome Reception and SIG Rush
    - this is a good place to meet people or renew acquaintances

October 21 - 12 noon    - Awards Luncheon
    - Among other awards, the Chapter of the Year Award will be presented
here.  Note that this year it is a luncheon, replacing the evening banquet
from previous years, to make the time more accessible to more attendees.
Anyone registering for the full conference (except for students) will
receive one admission ticket to the awards Luncheon.  Additional luncheon
tickets may be purchased on-site.

October 21 - 4:00 p.m.  - ASIST Annual Business Meeting
    - this is a chance to hear reports from the President and
President-Elect of ASIST

October 21 - 7:00 p.m.  - SIG Dutch Treat Networking Dinners
    - this is another good place to meet people with similar interests

October 21 - 8:00 p.m.  - SIG CON -

    - this is a tongue-in-cheek event where everyone is very relaxed

October 22 - 6:00 p.m.  - Annual President's Reception
    - Trudi Hahn, the ASIST President, cordially invites all members to
attend
