[Carolinas_asist] Updates

Dear All:

Hello from the ASIS&T Annual Meeting!  I attended the Chapter Assembly
meeting this morning and enjoyed meeting other Chapter leaders and thinking
about ways we could model our potential new Chapter!

First, some business:
1.  The Bylaws are attached.  Please review them and let me know if you
would like to make any changes before we submit them with our petition.
2.  I have the petitions for a Carolinas Chapter with me at this meeting.
If you are in Milwaukee and would like to sign them, please find me.  I will
be turning them in on Tuesday, so it would be best if you could find me
tomorrow.
3.  The elections were a success!  We had a great voting turnout and have
elected the following officers:  Hugh Cayless, Chair; Russell Koontz,
Chair-elect; Lori Eaken, Treasurer; Cassidy Sugimoto, Secretary; and Diane
Neal, Record Holder.  I would like to thank everyone for running in this
election!

If there are no changes on the officer list or bylaws, we will proceed with
our petition to start a Carolinas Chapter.  If we are successful in our
petition, we will need lots of volunteers to get this Chapter off the ground
and running, so please feel free to volunteer and get invovled!
