[ASIST-FL] ASIST Florida - one more officer

Hi Bahaa,

I like all your suggestions.  I think we may want to send out a mailing
via the post office given that recent emails to the list have garnered
such a low response rate.  The mailing could include info on the current
state of ASIST-Florida and a survey about desired activities and
programs.

Does USF have a credit union and would they accept our account?

To the board: when is a good time for a meeting?  Do you want to try to
meet in person or on a conference call?

Hello All,

This is good news. We have now a reasonably solid Board. We should
start 
soon to develop some programs so that we can revive the chapter and
avoid an 
ASIST Board decision of resolving it . We have in our budget $936.41 (I
just 
received a check from the ASIST office for the chapter rebate of 2006).
Bank 
of America, in which our account is deposited, charges us $16 every
month 
service charge. I am looking for another bank that would be more 
reasonable...any help?

I would like to propose the following:

1. A meeting of the Board as soon as possible.
2. Some ideas from the chapter members about programs we should have
for the 
remaining part of the year.
3. Develop a chapter Web Site to enhance communication among the
members 
located in the diverse locations.
