ASIST MEMBER/VOLUNTEER NEEDED
TO EDIT SCHOLARLY MONOGRAPH SERIES

The American Society of Information Science & Technology (ASIST) is seeking
a volunteer to serve a 3-year renewable term as ASIST Monograph Series
editor, acquiring and developing 3-6 books annually on a range of practical
and theoretical topics in the broad field of information science and
technology. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to
take a leadership role in promoting and disseminating innovative research,
practice, and scholarly discourse in the field while making a significant
contribution to his or her professional association.

The ideal candidate is an ASIST member with strong academic credentials
including a Ph.D in library and information science or related discipline; a
good grasp of and interest in historic, contemporary, and emerging topics
and trends in the field; excellent personal and professional reading habits;
an appreciation for the role of authors, editors, and publishers in
advancing knowledge and understanding; a record of academic rigor in writing
for publication; strong communication, language, and networking skills; the
ability to identify, motivate, and mentor promising and established authors
and editors; the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; and the vision,
energy, and dedication needed to grow a small but highly regarded imprint
into a leading program of publications for scholars, students, and other
stakeholders in library and information science and technology.

The ASIST monograph series is published in print and digital (ebook) formats
on behalf of ASIST by Information Today, Inc. (ITI) with royalties from
sales accruing to the benefit of the association. Examples of current titles
