[Asist-announce] Hotel situation for AM 12 in Baltimore

We have run into space problems at the at the Baltimore Hilton for the
Annual Meeting.

 

There is a major convention in the area taking lots of rooms, and the local
baseball team is threatening to be a playoff contender.

 

The Baltimore Hilton, the headquarters hotel, has rooms available through
October 28, but not for October 29 or 30.

 

We have reserved overflow rooms at the Hampton Inn, a couple of blocks away,
at $10 less per night with breakfast and internet included.  It is part of
the same corporation as the Hilton.

 

Some may make reservations for the dates available at the Hilton, then move
to the Hampton Inn, with the possibility the will be automatically moved
back if space at the Hilton opens up.

 

Some may prefer to make reservations for the entire conference at the
Hampton Inn.
