June JASIST TOC and June/July BULLETIN TOC are below.  This issue of JASIST
includes the first “Advances in Information Science,” the series that was
established as the successor to the Annual Review of Information Science and
Technology (ARIST). Miles Efron contributes an authoritative overview of
problems raised in the emerging field of microblog information retrieval,
identifying the most significant challenges that face designers of search
engines for microblog environments.

ELECTION candidates’ statements and brief bios are posted at
http://www.asis.org/elections/candidates.html.  Voting instructions will be
mailed and e-mailed shortly to all eligible to vote, with username and a
unique password (your normal ASIST password will NOT work).

President-elect for the 2012 ASIS&T administrative year:
- Candidates are Barbara Kwasnik and Andrew Dillon.

Directors-at-Large for the 2012-2014 administrative years (two Directors to
be elected):
- Candidates are Sandra Hirsh, Jens-Erik Mai, Diane Neal, and John Unsworth.

Many are free for ASIS&T members, others have a minimal charge. Several
topics suggested in a recent survey are available.
