ASIS&T and Accreditation: The ASIS&T Board recently sent a letter to ALA's
Office of Accreditation expressing concern regarding a January report of the
ALA Library Education Task Force. The Board was concerned that the report
advocates for a regressive narrowing of the curriculum of LIS programs. You
can read the full text of the Board's response here.

ASIS&T DL Access: Wiley Blackwell will be phasing out the passwords that
ASIST members have been using. Simply use your ASIS&T user name and
password to login to the ASIS&T site. Look for the ASIS&T Digital Library
link in red to take you directly into the DL.

ASIS&T Web Sign In: We have revised the ASIST web site so that you now can
change your password AND your user name. This will allow you to use the
username/password combination you are most comfortable with.

MEMBER Profile: We have updated this page to make it easier for you to
enter or modify your addresses by being able to copy from one to another.
There is now a "Main Contact Address" which should be the address ASIS&T
uses to contact you. If you have a work address, enter it here. If you
only use a home address, enter it here and copy it to the home address
section. If you don't want your home address used in member searches,
please make an entry the "Just for Web" section.

PRIVACY NOTE: If the "Just for Web" address is left blank, the member
directory will display your "Main Contact Address" mentioned above. If you
do not want this info to be displayed to other members, simply enter a "Just
for Web" address.
