ASIS&T ELECTION:  Remember, the deadline for voting for new Officers and
Directors is September 30, 2008.  You should have already received
information for voting.  If you did not, contact rhill at asis.org.

NEW ASIS&T POSITION:  We are seeking an "Online Interaction Manager" to
stimulate interaction among members (and others).  Position description is
at http://www.asis.org/EIM_Position.html.  We are completely open to
proposals/responses from members, teams of members, or anyone else.    We
are open to proposals that include advice on the description, how to
implement, etc.  Position does NOT have to be at headquarters.

AWARDS:  A list of 2008 Award winners, as far as they are now known, is at

ACCREDITATION/Information Professionals:  The agenda and materials form the
recent meeting ASIS&T and CLIR hosted on accreditation for information
professional programs can be found at http://www.asis.org/IPA_Meeting.html

ANNUAL MEETING 08:  The ASIST 2008 Conference wiki
(http://www.asis.org/wiki/AM08/) is online and there is a link to the wiki
from the main ASIST conference page.  This is an excellent place to post
news about what your SIG is doing, or other activities.  It is also a great
place to find out information about the conference and the Columbus area,
including social events, SIG activities, local accommodations, wireless
access, sightseeing, etc.   We hope you'll take advantage of the wiki by
reading it and posting information to it.

ANNUAL MEETING 2009:  Call for participation is at
http://www.asis.org/Conferences/AM09/am09cfp.html.  Meeting will be in
Vancouver, BC, Canada.  Andrew Large of McGill University is the Chair.

JASIST:  We have signed a new contract for the Publication of JASIS&T and
for management of the Digital Library.
