Having heard no objections I just voted YES on

Approval of Proposed Work Item, Standardization of ISOSTS, a specific tag set used for standards publishing, and link it officially to JATS (ANSI/NISO Z39.96-2012 JATS: Journal Article Tag Suite)

if anyone has any objections we can change our vote before mifnight 7/31 - we can also vote NO on anything this group develops

Also there are some upcoming votes:

1) ISO/DIS 18461, International museum statistics

This is a TC46/SC8 ballot for ISO/DIS 18461,International museum statistics. The ISO ballot does not officially open until July 6, 2015, however the draft standard is distributed in advance to allow for local translations. We are opening the NISO ballot now to allow a longer period of review.

This International Standard specifies rules for the museum community on the collection and reporting of statistics. It provides definitions and counting procedures for all types of resources and services that museums offer to their users.

If this draft standard receives sufficient approval, it can proceed directly to publication. If it is either not approved, or the Working Group decides to make substantive changes based on ballot comments, an FDIS version may be balloted.

Your voting options are:
Yes - approve the standard for publication (comments are optional and should generally be editorial in nature; if substantive comments are provided, you are approving the standard even if those changes are not made)
No - do not approve the standard for publication (comments are required and should be substantive)
Abstain from voting (comments are optional)

Comments and a recommendation for a vote needed by 8/20

2) Systematic Review of ISO 233-3:1999, Information and documentation - Transliteration of Arabic characters into Latin characters - Part 3: Persian language - Simplified transliteration
This is a ballot for the five-year systematic review of the TC46 standard ISO 233-3:1999, Information and documentation - Transliteration of Arabic characters into Latin characters - Part 3: Persian language - Simplified transliteration.

This part of ISO 233 establishes a simplified system for the transliteration of Persian characters into Latin characters. This simplification of the stringent rules established by ISO 233:1984 is especially intended to facilitate the processing of bibliographic information (e.g. catalogues, indices, citations, etc.).

***If you are using this standard, please note that in your vote comments. If you are using a different standard/guideline for the intended purpose of this standard, please indicate which one in your comments.

Your voting options are:
Confirm (as is or with only editorial corrections) [comments optional]
Revise [comments required]
Withdraw [comments required]
Abstain (from voting) [comments optional]

3) ISO/FDIS 9001, Quality management systems - Requirements

This is a ballot for the final draft standard, ISO/FDIS 9001, Quality management systems - Requirements

This International Standard specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization:
a) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
b) aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

All the requirements of this International Standard are generic and are intended to be applicable to any organization, regardless of its type or size, or the products and services it provides.

NOTE 1 In this International Standard, the terms "product" or "service" only apply to products and services intended for, or required by, a customer.
NOTE 2 Statutory and regulatory requirements can be expressed as legal requirements.
