Vacancy: Lecturer, Permanent Status, Information and Communication
Studies, University College Dublin (applications due November 30 2015)
We are pleased to announce the expansion of the School of Information
and Communication Studies at University College Dublin. We are
advertising for at least one lecturer (permanent status) position.
We invite applications from scholars who can contribute to and expand
our strengths in research and teaching in information and communication
studies. We define the field broadly as the interplay of people,
information, technology and social structures. We welcome applications
from researchers with expertise in areas including but not limited to:
communication and media, organisational studies, computer-supported
cooperative work, information systems, information design, social
computing, digital curation, cultural heritage informatics,
data/information ethics, health information, metadata & classification,
information retrieval, human-computer interaction, digital
archives/libraries, information architecture, information literacy, and
other related topics. It is anticipated that interviews will take place
in the week commencing 18th January 2016. The appointed Lecturer will
ideally commence in post on 1 September 2016.
