The School of Information at San José State University is recruiting for a tenure track assistant professor in the area of Information Systems and Knowledge Structures.

Applicants should have:
Experience in teaching 100% online courses in information systems and knowledge structures with a focus on how these systems are integral to connecting users with information.
Research interests in at least one of the following:
The design, querying, usability and evaluation of information retrieval systems from web hierarchies to controlled vocabularies.
Best practices for metadata and for taxonomy/classification.
Design as professional practice.
An earned doctorate must be completed by the time of application.
