Ludäscher joins GSLIS faculty

Professor Bertram Ludäscher will join our faculty in Fall 2014. Ludäscher is a leading figure in data and knowledge management, focusing on the modeling, design, and optimization of scientific workflows as well as provenance, data integration, and knowledge representation. Hoiem joins GSLIS faculty

This fall GSLIS will welcome Elizabeth Hoiem as an assistant professor. She will teach and conduct research in youth services. Specifically, Hoiem explores the history of technological innovations in children's literature—from early children's books and toys to contemporary applications of digital pedagogy—and looks at modern technology through a historical lens. HathiTrust Research Center awarded grant from NEH
Professor and Associate Dean for Research J. Stephen Downie will direct “Exploring the Billions and Billions of Words in the HathiTrust Corpus with Bookworm: HathiTrust + Bookworm,” a new  project funded the National Endowment for the Humanities. Tilley speaks at Comic-Con International: San Diego
