[Asis-l] Postdoc in Search and Exploration of Linked Data (Amsterdam, 1 year)

The University of Amsterdam is looking for a versatile, highly motivated 
post-doctoral fellow to work on search and exploration of linked data 
and corpora with semantic annotations as part of the README project 
funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher (1 year full time employment) is expected to 
contribute to our research on semi-structured information access in the 
area of linked data (e.g., DBpedia, Freebase, etc) and help drive this 
research agenda internationally, though evaluation forums (e.g., 
http://trec.nist.gov/, https://inex.mmci.uni-saarland.de/) and 
workshops/conferences (e.g., http://staff.science.uva.nl/~kamps/esair12/).

Requirements

Applicants must have completed a PhD in a relevant field by appointment 
date, and must have strong and demonstrable skills in:
- information retrieval, especially statistical language modeling;
- web specification and query languages for content, structured, and 
linked data;
- industrial experience, or a track record of project based work; and
- solid programming skills are a requirement.
