[Asis-l] Prospective faculty invited to GSLIS at Illinois reception at ASIS&T

The Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) at the University of Illinois is looking for an outstanding full-time faculty member to join our iSchool. Interim Dean Allen Renear and a number of GSLIS faculty members will be attending the ASIS&T Annual Meeting in Baltimore on October 26 - 30.

Strong candidates in any area relating to the organization, management, preservation, and retrieval of information, and the production and transmission of knowledge are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in specializations that directly contribute to our leading program in data curation, including cyber-infrastructure, scientific data management, workflow systems, provenance, data archiving, data science, digital humanities, e-Research and e-Science, and semantic technologies. A focus on data in any area of science or scholarship, including the social sciences and the humanities, is relevant.

A reception for prospective students and faculty, along with GSLIS faculty, alumni, and students, will be held at 7:30 - 9:30 pm on Monday, October 29, at Pier 5 Hotel Harbor Club, 711 Eastern Avenue. Please RSVP for that reception by October 26 to
