LAC Group seeks a Legal Reference Librarian Technician to work full-time on a government contract from Tuesday - Saturday at a prestigious government library in Washington, DC. This position will work Tuesdays - Saturdays, 40 hours a week, includes full-benefits, and will be working the reference desk at a government law library. Excellent reference, legal knowledge and customer service skills are required.



Requirements:

*         Work the reference desk as a large government law library, taking reference requests from the public and other resources;

*         Provide exceptional customer service and represent LAC and the government law library with high standards;

*         Other general library tasks and maintenance, including shelving, circulation, etc. as needed;

*         Participate in special law library projects as needed or requested.



Qualifications:

*         MLS Degree from an ALA accredited University;

*         Previous experience working in reference serving the public is required;

*         Previous law library experience is preferred;

*         Knowledge of several databases and reference resources, specifically including legal resources (Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, etc.);

*         A positive attitude and the desire to work with people to provide excellent customer service;

*         Reliable and the ability to work on Saturdays.
