Dear students, colleagues, and friends,
Please join NORASIST for our fall social mixer on Tuesday, September 27 from 6-10 pm at the Riverside Wine Bar in Kent!
Because our first Membership Sale was so successful, we've decided to have another one -- September 26-30. Annual student membership is only $32 for new members ($132 for new non-student members) with the sale price, for those living in Northeast Ohio.
That's only ~$2.50/month for students!!!
Being involved in a professional library and information science association is a wonderful way to get involved in this profession and to start networking in our field.
To save you time, we'll have your Faculty Advisor sign the NOR(ASIST) membership application form for you. Just fill in the rest of it and bring it, along with $32, the evening of the mixer, or mail it to me that week. We'll take care of the rest!
The first 5 people to join ASIST as new NORASIST chapter members at the mixer will also receive a free book from Rosenfeld Media, personally donated by Lou Rosenfeld, one of the fathers of Information Architecture, and co-author of 'Information Architecture for the World Wide Web: Designing Large-Scale Web Sites'.
This mixer is a free event for all! Of course, delicious food and drinks are available for purchase. And the patio will be open if it is nice outside. Please RSVP to Sue Fensore (sfensore at kent.edu) if you plan to attend.
We will also have a very brief Annual Chapter Business Meeting at 7:30.
For important details, please see http://norasis.slis.kent.edu/
Please follow 'NORASIST' on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook (page) to receive updates.
Please re-post!
Hope to see you there!!
~Sue
