Final Call for Posters/Demos - ECIR 2012
34th European Conference on Information Retrieval
Barcelona, Spain
1-5 April 2012 http://ecir2012.upf.edu/ The 34th European Conference on Information Retrieval (ECIR 2012) will take place in Barcelona, Spain from 1 to 5 April 2012. The conference encourages submission of high-quality research posters and demo papers reporting original and innovative research within information retrieval. Posters and demo papers solely or mainly authored by a student are especially welcome. Submissions will be reviewed by experts on the basis of the originality of the work, the validity of the results, chosen methodology, writing quality, and the overall contribution to the field of information retrieval. All posters and demo papers will be refereed through double blind peer reviewing. Authors are invited to submit their works by the deadline stated below.

16 October 2011: Poster/demo submission deadline
20 November 2011: Notification of acceptance
2 April 2012: Poster/demo session

Conference proceedings will be published by Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), Springer Verlag-Germany. All submissions must be written in English following the LNCS author guidelines ( http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0 ). Posters must not be longer than four pages. Demos will be evaluated on the basis of a two-page description. Please indicate in the description whether the demo has been implemented, but links to the demo will not be viewed. Since all submissions will be refereed through double-blind peer review, authors should not identify themselves in their submissions.
