[Asis-l] SIGHIT Record Call for Contributions

We cordially invite you to submit your contribution to ACM SIGHIT Record,
the newsletter of the ACM Special Interest Group on Health Informatics
(SIGHIT).

How to submit

Submissions should be made via email to the editors Supten Sarbadhikari and
Kay Connelly at <sighit.record at gmail.com>. (See
http://www.sighit.org/record/guidelines.php for details.)
Submission Deadline for the second issue (Due September 2011) is August 31,
2011.

Submission categories
Technical submissions to the newsletter can be either on a special issue
topic or on topics of general interest to the health informatics community.
These can be in any one of the following categories: 
"	Survey/tutorial articles (short) on important topics not exceeding
20 pages
"	Topical articles on problems and challenges
"	Well-articulated position papers
"	Technical articles not exceeding 10 pages
"	Review articles of technical books, products and methodologies not
exceeding 20 pages
"	Reviews/summaries from conferences, panels and special meetings
within 1 to 4 pages [1500-2500 words]
"	Book reviews and reports on relevant published technical books
"	PhD dissertation abstracts not exceeding 10 pages
"	Calls and announcements for conferences and journals not exceeding 1
page
"	News items on the order of 1-3 paragraphs
These can be sent in ASCII format to editors. SIGHIT Record publishes
news-oriented articles as submitted without review. News articles can be up
to 2 pages long and cover important timely topics in the area. The Editor
reserves the right to reject any submissions at his discretion. 
"	Brief announcements
Announcements not exceeding 5 lines in length can simply be sent as ASCII
text to the editors by e-mail. SIGHIT Record publishes announcements that
are submitted as is without review. Announcements cannot be advertisements
and should be of general interest to the wider community. The Editor
reserves the right to reject any requests for announcements at his
discretion. 
"	Advertisements
We accepts advertisements related to health informatics, including company,
book, vendor, and service advertisements. All ads are subject to approval of
editor. Rate are as follows: US $250 for a quarter page, $500 for a half
page, and $1000 for a full page.
