Search Engine Meeting 2010
Call for Speakers

Submit your proposal here
https://secure.infotoday.com/forms/default.aspx?form=sem2010speakers

Deadline: 23 October 2009

The Search Engine Meeting, originally organized by Infonortics, is now being
produced by Information Today, Inc. The objective remains the same-to be the
place to go to get cutting-edge information on the latest search engine
trends and developments.

We are looking for presenters who can make real contributions to the field
of information searching and indexing or who will further the understanding
of meeting attendees in the general search area. Search is a rapidly
changing technology, becoming more pervasive every day. Search Engine
Meeting brings together thought leaders, search engine developers,
academics, and corporate search professionals to exchange knowledge about
the latest adavances in search.

Some theme areas of particular interest, and in no particular order, for the
2010 Meeting are:
. Real time search
. Very large databases
. Semantic search
. Mobile search design and development
. Contextualization
. Classification, metadata, and automated indexing
. Pervasive search
. Visualization
. Meaning extraction
. User experience
Please note that this meeting is not an appropriate occasion for pure
product pitches or descriptions of existing products. News of entirely new
products or beta version of substantial upgrades to existing products may,
however, be of interest.

All presentations will be in the full sessions: there are no breakout or
parallel sessions at the meeting.

Those presenting will be given one free registration to the 2-day conference
(one free registration per presentation). Speaker expense reimbursement will
not normally be offered.

If you would like to be considered as a speaker, please submit your ideas
here.

The Steering Committee will review all submissions. Notification regarding
acceptance will be made in mid-November.
We look forward to receiving your ideas and suggestions before the
submission deadline of October 23, 2009.
