Attending the 2009 ASIS&T Annual Meeting in Vancouver?
In keeping with a long and cherished tradition, the School of Library,
Archival & Information Studies at The University of British Columbia
in Vancouver is pleased to host a welcome reception for those
attending this year’s conference. The event will be held on Saturday,
November 7, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the TC Lions Pub, just four blocks
from the conference hotel. Join us for a complimentary drink and some
appetizers. The TC Lions is a downtown, casual English-style pub, and
offers a varied and well-priced menu for those of you wishing to enjoy
a meal. It is completely accessible, and smoking is not permitted in
any Vancouver bars. For more information, see http://www.tcclub.com/lionspub/lionspub.html

Where is it and how do I get there?
Please see a map with directions for walking at http://tiny.cc/EamPS.
If you prefer, map using your own software from the hotel (655 Burrard
Street Vancouver BC) to the pub (888 West Cordova Street Vancouver
BC). Allow about five to 10 minutes to walk from the hotel. From there
you can explore Granville Street or Gastown, or head back to the hotel
and Robson Street beyond.
We are proud to show off our city and host this event, and we look
forward to welcoming all of you and helping to launch a rewarding
conference for everyone.
