Please excuse any cross-postings.
If you are a tenure-track (or tenured) librarian at a college or
university, you are invited to participate in a research study
conducted by Arthur Hendricks from Portland State University, Branford
Price Millar Library. I hope to learn what your library's policies
are regarding blogging, scholarship and promotion.
The survey is at http://survey.oit.pdx.edu/ss/wsb.dll/s/2bfge8d and the
deadline is April 1, 2009.
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to answer a short
survey hosted on the web. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to
answer. You may not receive any direct benefit from taking part in
this study, but the study may help to increase knowledge which may
help others in the future. Any information that is obtained in
connection with this study and that can be linked to you or identify
you will be kept confidential. This information will be kept
confidential since it is an anonymous survey and IP addresses will not
be recorded. Your participation is voluntary. You do not have to
take part in this study, and it will not affect your relationship with
Portland State University or the Branford Price Millar Library. You
may also withdraw from this study at any time without affecting your
relationship with Portland State University or the Branford Price
Millar Library. If you have concerns or problems about your
participation in this study or your rights as a research subject,
please contact the Human Subjects Research Review Committee, Office of
Research and Sponsored Projects, 600 Unitus Bldg., Portland State
University, (503) 725-4288 / 1-877-480-4400. If you have questions
about the study itself, contact Arthur Hendricks at bvah at pdx.edu and
(503) 725-5879.
Thank you very much for your interest and time in participating in this
survey.
