[Asis-l] call for SIG/CR chair and chair-elect

SIG/CR seeks candidates for Chair and Chair-Elect for the coming year.  SIG/CR has a long history within ASIST and many of us would like to see this legacy continue. However, we need members willing to take on leadership roles.  If you are interested, please contact Diane Vizine-Goetz (vizine at oclc.org<mailto:vizine at oclc.org>), Rebecca Green (greenre at oclc.org<mailto:greenre at oclc.org> ), or Dagobert Soergel (dsoergel at umd.edu<mailto:dsoergel at umd.edu>) by November 15th.


Duties of the chair include soliciting and helping to organize panel and paper proposals for ASIST 2009 annual conference, collaborating with other SIGs, running the annual SIG/CR business meeting, representing the group at SIG Cabinet and SIG Planning Meetings, appointing other officers such as a webmaster and secretary/treasurer, and coordinating with the webmaster to create a new CR website and possibly a wiki.  The Chair Elect organizes the SIG/CR workshop at the ASIST meeting and becomes Chair the following year.  The officers form a steering committee that communicates regularly to determine directions for the SIG.
