Call for Papers
The 11th International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries
(ICADL 2008)
http://icadl2008.org/
Bali, Indonesia

December 2-5, 2008

The annual International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries
(ICADL) series is a significant forum for digital libraries research,
providing an opportunity for researchers, educators, and practitioners to
share their experiences. From the first ICADL in Hong Kong in 1998, the
conference has grown to become one of the premiere forums in the digital
library community.

ICADL welcomes submissions from a variety of perspectives, Previous
conferences in this series have included presentations from computer
science, library and information science, knowledge management, and areas in
the social sciences and humanities. We particularly welcome submissions
associated with the ICADL 2008 theme "Digital Libraries: Universal and
Ubiquitous Access to Information". With this theme, the digital libraries
community can reflect on its progress towards supporting people in finding
and using the information that they need.

ICADL 2008 will be held in Bali Island, Indonesia. Bali is a world-renowned
travel destination with an exotic and beautiful natural environment coupled
with a thriving and exquisite culture. The island has been in many of Conde
Nast Traveller's lists of tourist destinations over the years. Conde Nast's
website notes that Bali "offers an extraordinary caliber of luxury
accommodation".
