The National Library of Medicine's Public Services Division is recruiting librarians with an aptitude and enthusiasm for providing health information to our users in the Library and around the world. As a member of the Reference & Web Services Section, you will have the opportunity to:
* Assist in planning, designing, testing, implementing and evaluating Web-based applications and related technology for Web products such as, MedlinePlus, MedlinePlus en español, Go Local, NIHSeniorHealth, and the main NLM Web-site.
* Apply your knowledge of technologies such as; Web design, Internet usability and accessibility, search engine technologies, systems analysis techniques and Web 2.0 applications to the maintenance and improvement of NLM products and services.
* Apply your knowledge of health information and health information literacy, the U.S. healthcare system, and current and emerging technologies related to health information provision.
* Interpret customer feedback, industry survey results, needs assessments, and professional literature to coordinate changes and enhancements to NLM services.
