Known for his vision and leadership roles in the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative at OCLC and the Semantic Web Initiative for W3C at MIT, Eric Miller will discuss how leveraging Semantic Web standards can enable organizations achieve data interoperability for seamless integration of online products and often disparate product components in a Service Oriented Architecture environment. Eric will elucidate the RDF data model and the use of Microformats in surfacing online data. 

Eric Miller is the President of Zepheira, The Art of Data, which provides solutions to effectively integrate, navigate and manage information across boundaries of person, group and enterprise. Dr. Miller is highly sought after as an adviser to businesses and other organizations and speaker at conferences worldwide, providing insights on the evolution of the Web. 

Eric holds a Research Scientist position at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory where he is a Principal Investigator on the MIT SIMILE project focused on developing robust, open source tools based on Semantic Web technologies that improve access, management and reuse among digital resources.

DIRECTIONS to LexisNexis from Cincinnati : Take I-75 North to Dayton. Exit 44 to S.R. 725 (Centerville/Miamisburg Rd.). East on S.R. 725. South on S.R. 741 (Springboro Pike). LexisNexis is approx. 1 mile, on the right side of the road. Turn right at Spring Valley Road entrance (the 6th light from S.R. 725/S.R. 741 intersection), LexisNexis sign will say 9443-9595. Drive underneath skyway connecting the buildings. Turn right, go over the speed bump, and park in the lot next to the covered entrance. Enter Building 4 (9443 Springboro Pike). Wait at the guard station for someone to escort you.

Turn right at Spring Valley Road entrance (the 2nd light from Lyons Rd./S.R. 741 intersection), LexisNexis sign will say 9443-9595. Drive underneath skyway connecting the buildings.
