Library Associates Companies (LAC) is seeking a Library Assistant for a
firm in West Los Angeles. The Assistant is responsibilities include,
procurement of certain research materials, managing the acquisition and
disposition of periodical and magazine subscriptions and administering
the assignment and tracking of user IDs for a range of electronic
information services.

 Responsibilities



*	Order books, publications for the library as needed;
*	Process invoices and maintain appropriate records as well as
following up on past due invoices;
*	Order and follow up on subscriptions to magazines, periodicals
and other serials for the Information Center and for the firm as a
whole;
*	Handle problems related to missing issues, late deliveries,
service interruptions, etc.
*	Maintain records of all purchases.
*	Create accounts on selected information services for authorized
new users;
*	Deletes accounts as necessary; 
*	Maintain; records of all user IDs; 
*	Provide reports on number and distribution of user IDs as
required;
*	Troubleshoot and resolve end-user problems related to user IDs;
*	Process invoices for various Information Center purchases other
than subscriptions and research materials;
*	Interacts with accounting department on invoice issues;

  


Qualifications


*	Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational
skills;
*	Ability to work independently as well as in coordination with
other team members;
*	Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects;
*	Proficient at Excel.
