[Asis-l] Events of interest for ASIS&T Chapter Members at the Annual Meeting, Milwaukee

Going to Milwaukee for ASIS&T Annual?  If you are active in your local 
chapter or are interested in getting involved, here are a few events you 
should definitely attend while you are there.

1. Sunday, 10/21, 8:30-10 a.m. 
Chapter Assembly: There is important business to take care of at this 
meeting including Chapter Assembly awards, elections, and leadership 
recognition.  Each chapter should send an official representative to this 
meeting.

2. Sunday, 10/21, 5:30 p.m.
Leadership Development: "Leading By Using Social Networks: Facebook And 
Second Life" 

3. Sunday, 10/21, 6:30-8 p.m.
Welcome Reception: Enjoy delicious hors d'oeurves and drinks with your 
colleagues as ASIS&T welcomes you to its 70th Annual Meeting! 
Each Special Interest Group and Chapter will be represented with their own 
table at the reception. This will be a great opportunity to find out what 
the SIGs are all about, what Chapter events may be happening in your local 
area, and a great way to become involved and make YOUR desires heard!

4. Tuesday, 10/23, 7:00-9:00am
Chapter Assembly Planning Breakfast (by rsvp only to 
beata_panagopoulos at harvard.edu)

5. Tuesday, Oct. 23 11:45 a.m. -2:15 p.m.
Awards Luncheon:  The Student Chapter of the Year (Simmons and UCLA ) and 
The Chapter of the Year (New England and Los Angeles) will be recognized 
at this event. 

6. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 5:30 p.m.
Annual Business Meeting: Outgoing Chapter Advisors will be recognized
