[Asis-l] Professor Wilf Saunders

Many members of ASIST will know the name of Wilf Saunders, founding
Director of the Postgraduate School of Librarianship and Information
Management at the University of Sheffield (later the Department of
Information Studies).

Sadly, Wilf died at about 4.30 p.m. this afternoon, after a short
illness.  He had many friends in North America, having spent time at
the Pittsburgh and UCLA schools, as well as attending conferences
elsewhere.

Wilf had a world-wide reputation as an educator and many schools and
individuals benefited from his kind and wise advice.
