Library Associates seeks a dynamic, forward-looking professional with a strong administrative background to serve as Program Manager for a large government library project. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience, proven leadership, familiarity with knowledge management and the application of technology across the spectrum of library services, and the ability to steer large-scale projects to completion. Previous experience with federal libraries and a background in scientific and technical information are highly desirable.

Responsibilities include:

* Work closely with Library Director to develop vision and direction for library services 
* Work closely with staff teams to develop, refine and implement library services, vision and direction 
* Oversee execution of all contract tasks 
* Provide direction to contract staff, including assignment and monitoring of tasks, evaluation 
* Oversee contract budget 
* Develop and implement cutting-edge public services and outreach 
* Build relationships with the library's public 
* Responsible for all metrics, benchmarks and reporting, including development of new metrics as warranted

Qualifications:

* ALA-accredited Master's degree in library science; 
* Minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience in library and information management, including supervisory experience; 
* Previous experience with contract project management; 
* Experience in developing and implementing digital library services and products; 
* Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; 
* Proven ability to work effectively with management, employees, and customers
