Contract Web Developer

InfoCurrent is looking for an experienced Web professional for a short-term contract with a well-known media company. The project duration is approximately 2-3 months.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This contract involves working with a full-time web developer to implement a major website redesign. The website will undergo a significant redesign of its front-end UI, database and back-end/administrative UI. The web site is currently database driven and tables, stored procedures and data will be migrated from MS Access to MS SQLServer. The contract web developer is required to perform related tasks, including:

1)   Database development and modification. Designing new tables and modifying current tables in SQLServer 2000 database, creating jobs and stored procedures.  SQL database design experience is required. 

2)   Back-end UI development.  Analyzing current MS Access UIs and converting these to web-based UIs for internal administration use.  The interface will be used by site administrators to enter data into the database.  This task requires experience with ASP.NET, SQL Server stored procedures and Access Database Project (ADP).

3)   Front End UIs Integration. Integrating front end web pages with SQL Server database.  This task requires experience with ASP and ASP.NET.

SKILLS REQUIRED

1)   HTML - Skill Level: Experienced.  Requires knowledge of creating forms using HTML.
2)   ASP - Skill Level: Experienced. Experience in retrieving data from database and displaying data.
3)   Visual Basic 6 - Skill Level: Experienced. 
4)   ASP.NET - Skill Level: Experienced. Experience in creating database-driven ASP.NET websites.
5)   SQL Server 2000 - Skill Level: Intermediate. Requires knowledge of SQL statements syntax and stored procedures.   
6)   Access 97 & Access 2000 - Skill Level: Intermediate. 
7) CSS - Skill Level: Intermediate. Requires knowledge of how to create external CSS and use classes in HTML.

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week. 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
