The NEASIS&T Student Travel Award jury is pleased to announce this year's
winners!

The 2006 NEASIS&T "Best Papers in Information Science" awards go to:

Karie Kirkpatrick
karie at mit.edu
Simmons College
Graduate School of Library and Information Science
for her paper entitled "OpenCourseWare: An 'MIT Thing'?"

and

Scott Salvaggio
scott_salvaggio at harvard.edu
Simmons College,
Graduate School of Library and Information Science
for his paper entitled "Enhancing a Digital Sheet Music Collection"

Each winner will receive up to $750 to help defray the costs of attendance
at the 2006 ASIS&T Annual Meeting, "Information Realities: Shaping the
Digital Future for All," which takes place November 3-9, 2006 in Austin,
Texas.

Congratulations to both Karie and Scott for their excellent papers!

And many thanks to the wise and diligent jury:  Paul Aloisio, Margret
Branchofsky, Christine Connors, and Ken Varnum.
