[Asis-l] Potential new SIG on Blogs, Wikis & Podcasting

Jeremy, Michel, and others:

   I welcome the discussion about the appropriate placing, naming, focus,
etc. on which SIG (or potentially where else) to place "blogs, wikis and
podcasting."  Keep in mind that while I called this a potential SIG (and
have received over 2 dozen emails from members who support the idea), that
does not necessarily mean this group will eventually create a formal SIG
with the "Blog, Wiki, Podcast" name.
   The Board of Directors has been discussing the structure of SIGs, and
how best to get "communities of interest/practice" together.  Some of this
will be discussed in our strategic plan, which will be presented at the
Annual Meeting.  Other forums will soon be available to discuss this and
other structural and programmatic issues as well.
   So, if others have opinions, please way in on the discussion, either
directly with me, or via this listserv.  We need your input.
