Business Journalist / Business Writer


Formatta provides technology products and consulting services to business 
and government agencies.  We're seeking a talented business journalist to 
join our team in Herndon, Virginia.  Duties of this position include:



  a.. Writing business and technology articles on emerging technologies and 
products, such as crypto, signing and authentication, security, and web 
services.
  b.. Writing articles on how businesses use an adopt technology.
  c.. Preparing case studies on technology and turnkey solutions.
  d.. Researching and writing white papers on cutting edge technologies.
  e.. Composing journal articles on topics relevant to the company.
  f.. Writing short, topical articles for publication on industry trends.
  g.. Composing press releases.
  h.. Preparing corporate newsletters.


The successful candidate is a journalist accustomed to quickly learning the 
fundamentals of a topic, and then writing articles for publication in both 
business and technology journals.



Minimum Skills:

The position requires a capable journalist versed in computer and 
information technology.  In addition, the successful candidate must be:



  a.. Capable of quickly learning new technologies and writing topical 
articles on a variety of technical subjects.
  b.. Able to independently carry on tasks and meet deadlines.
  c.. Competent at making technology understandable to the layman.


This is not a technical writing position.  Depending upon skills and 
experience, Formatta offers full or part-time employment, an extremely
