Faculty Position (Associate/Full Professor)

School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University 
Bloomington

Indiana University's (IU) School of Library and Information Science 
(SLIS) invites applications for a full-time faculty position on its 
Bloomington campus. The successful candidate will have a record of 
internationally recognized research, a strong commitment to teaching, 
and hold a doctoral degree in an appropriate field.

The school's research agenda encompasses social and cognitive analyses 
of interactions among people, organizations, technologies and 
information, particularly in relation to the development of digital 
libraries and the World Wide Web. SLIS maintains excellent working 
relations with colleagues in other academic units. Information about

SLIS has a highly productive, interdisciplinary faculty whose 
backgrounds include computer science, information science, 
instructional systems technology, librarianship, linguistics, political 
science, psychology, and sociology. In addition to the Master of 
Library Science (MLS) degree, the school offers the Master of 
Information Science (MIS), a Ph.D. in Information Science, and a 
post-master's specialization in Library and Information Science as well 
as numerous dual/joint degree programs.
