Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the JCDL 2004 Conference Organizing Committee, we would
like to invite you to participate in the upcoming JCDL 2004 Conference
in Tucson, Arizona on June 7-11 (http://jcdl2004.org).

JCDL 2004 is the fourth in a series of ACM/IEEE joint conferences on
digital library research and development. "Global reach" and "diverse
impact" are two themes of this year's intellectual forum. This year's
conference boasts a record number of 249 submissions. The international
Program Committee selected 34 full papers, 27 short papers, 15
demonstrations, 47 posters, and 4 panels. JCDL 2004 is host to four
research awards: Vannevar Bush Best Paper Award, Best Student Paper
Award, Best International Paper Award, and Best Poster Award. The
conference also features 7 tutorials and 4 workshops, including the
NSF/DHS/NIJ/ITIC sponsored Intelligence and Security Informatics
Symposium (http://www.ecom.arizona.edu/ISI/).

The Grand Canyon State offers a wide variety of attractions, including
beautiful state and national parks, cultural activities, and historic
sites with a flavor of the Old West. The landscape of Arizona varies
from high mountains to low desert, from grassland to lake country.
Tucson, also known as the Old Pueblo, presents a number of local area
attractions as well, such as museums, parks, art and cultural events,
shopping, and more.

We welcome you and your family to the Old Pueblo of the Grand Canyon
State!
