A reminder that registration is open for an exciting colloquium and
conference, held by the Community Informatics Research Network, Inc from 29
September - 1 October 2004.

'Sustainability' has been identified as a key and controversial issue in
community networking, and the purpose of the conference is to explore all
its dimensions, resulting in a communiqué developed through plenary
sessions, as well as further activities of the CIRN network.  Please see

including registrations. Early hotel bookings are encouraged.

The Conference is structured as a colloquium with a number of components,
including keynotes,  7 comprehensive panels for 40+  researcher and
practitioner presentations from around the world, 4  workshops, plenary
sessions, a graduate student colloquium, and the CIRN Annual General
Meeting.   There will also be opportunities for networking and social events
in a beautiful, small Tuscan city, close to Florence.  Proposed Keynotes
include Mike Gurstein, NJIT, Fiorella De Cindio, Milan Community Network,
Tony Salvador, Intel.

Workshops for practitioners and researchers  include:  -  The Sustainability
Planning Game;  Community Informatics Curriculum and Education;  Multisite,
