ITIE2004 -- International Conference on Information Technology in Education:
Learning from Different Cultures,

Beijing, P.R. China July 19th-21st, 2004
===========================================================
Call for Participation and Contribution

If you are an educator interested in sharing your knowledge of using
information technology in the classroom with your counterparts halfway
around the world, then this conference is for you.

By bringing together educators from various academic disciplines, this
conference will facilitate the exchange of how information technologies have
been used effectively by teachers, students, and librarians to facilitate
teaching and learning in the classrooms and beyond from both sides of the
Pacific ocean.

Please consider submitting an abstract on work-in-progress reports, research
proposals, teaching demonstration proposals, poster sessions, projects
involving the use of school libraries or reports on issues related to
information technology in education at all levels.

Over 100 teachers and school librarians from the rural western and southern
provinces of China will be sponsored to attend by 3 San Francisco bay area
foundations. They will be providing teaching demonstrations, giving
work-in-progress reports and poster sessions on the their library programs,
We also expect many educators from the large cities of China. A number of
educators from the US and Hong Kong have already committed to attend and
make presentations. We feel that this will be a rich and rewarding
experience for all educators.
