APD Communications, a specialist provider of mobile information solutions, is
offering two studentships for three years full-time PhD study at Leeds
University Business School. Organisations across the UK are starting to deploy
mobile (m-)technologies with wireless network connectivity. Within police forces
and local government, these technologies are being used to transform ways of
working. It is envisaged that one studentship will focus on m-policing and one
on m-government, and that both will be undertaken within the AIMTech research
group at the Business School (http://lubswww.leeds.ac.uk/aimtech)

Each studentship covers fees and an annual maintenance allowance of £10,500. The
studentships are open to UK/EU students and are available immediately.

Applicants should have, or be studying for, a Masters degree or a first class
undergraduate degree in one of the following areas: criminology, local
government, management, information management/systems.

The Business School is rated 5 for research and ‘excellent’ for learning and
teaching, and is both EQUIS- and AMBA-accredited.
