H W Wilson Foundation

Post-Graduate Scholarships

In Library and Information Studies

Tenable at the

Department of Library and Information Studies

University College Dublin (UCD)


Applications are invited for two post-graduate scholarships in Library and
Information Studies that have been funded by the H W Wilson Foundation.
Each scholarship is valued at Euro 12,700 per annum with an additional
contribution towards fees and conference travel. Each scholarship will be
awarded initially for one year, but subject to terms and conditions, is
renewable for up to two additional years.

Applicants must have a first or upper second class honours primary degree,
or the equivalent.  They should already be, or will be during the academic
year 2004/2005, registered as full-time post-graduate research students
pursuing degrees by major thesis (MLitt or PhD) in the Department of Library
and Information Studies (DepLIS) in University College Dublin (UCD).

Further details of the application procedure and the terms and conditions
for the scholarships will be available on the web-site at

labelled “H W Wilson Foundation Post-Graduate Scholarships”.
