Data and Applications Security --- Bhavani
Thuraisingham
This program is incorporated in a forthcoming CISE-wide CyberTrust theme,
and Bhavani will handle the IIS-related proposals.
Database/information/knowledge security and privacy proposals may also be
submitted to the Information and Data Management Program.

Bhavani Thuraisingham will also manage Information Technology Research
(http://www.itr.nsf.gov/) proposals within the scope of the Information and
Data Management Program.

Please follow the CISE reorganization developments via CISE News at
http://www.cise.nsf.gov/news/index.cfm, or see the attached file (if your
email permits attachments).

The IIS Division intended to have the same deadline for all programs, but
this has not happened (see below). We are committed to providing a "home"
for interdisciplinary proposals, and we will jointly review proposals among
the relevant programs as needed. We will coordinate the proposal review with
programs whose deadline has not been approved yet (TBA). Please submit your
interdisciplinary proposal to the most relevant program (and specify its
Program Announcement number on the proposals cover sheet), and also select
other relevant program(s) -- not necessarily only within the IIS Division.
You are encouraged to contact relevant program directors prior to submitting
interdisciplinary proposals to help you in selecting the most appropriate
programs.

NOTE: Email address for NSF employees has the format:
{first letter of the first name}{up to 7 letters of the last name}@nsf.gov
Examples:
Junku Yuh jyuh at nsf.gov
Maria Zemankova mzemanko at nsf.gov

PLEASE DO NOT FLOOD ME WITH QUESTIONS. I WILL TRY TO KEEP YOU POSTED.

Thanks,
              Maria
