While you are relaxing this weekend, give some thought to next year's panel
sessions.

Classification Research (SIG-CR) is interested in supporting any topics
that relate to knowledge organization and the ways that knowledge is shaped
for its users. All topics -- fashion, music, video, great contributors,
international initiatives, and the more traditional issues related to knowledge
organization and standards -- are of interest.

Please contact Jack Andersen (SIG-CR Chair-Elect and Session Planner) --
jan at db.dk -- with your ideas. Check the asis.org website for dates and guidelines.
Session proposals are due in January.

The conference next year will be in Providence, RI -- an interesting community
with two important schools, Brown University and the Rhode Island School
of Design, and many other historical features. It affords us some great
opportunities for networking and exploring.

Please contact Jack or me if you have questions. In December, you will hear
more about the annual Classification Research Workshop for 2004...

Happy Holidays! Micki Breitenstein, SIG-CR Chair
